Information about transportation and flights
Tickets
Air tickets to Ecuador – Quito are not included in the price of the trip.
I also recommend arriving at least 1 to 2 days before the actual date of the trip. It will be easier for you to acclimatize in a foreign country and sleep well after a long journey. In addition, it is also possible that your flight will be delayed.
If you are flying through the United States (e.g. with a transfer), you must have a valid visa or ESTA travel authorization – even if you are only transiting in the USA. These rules vary by nationality, so please check in advance what the conditions are for your country. Without a valid authorization, the airline may not let you board.
Return ticket
I recommend that you plan your return trip ideally after 1-2 days from the end of the expedition. However, if you decide to stay in Ecuador, it is up to you.
Hotels
From my own experience, I can recommend the Quito Airport Suites hotel , Las Hortensia’s Casa De Huespedes or Hosteria Colibri Aeropuerto – these hotels are very cozy and clean and you don’t have to worry about them breaking your wallet. Moreover, they are only 7 minutes away by car from the airport. Other hotels near the airport worth mentioning are Wyndham hotel airport and Holiday Inn hotel airport. Their disadvantage is a slightly higher price.

If you are staying in the center of Quito, you will need to travel to the airport on the day of the trip, where our transport will pick you up.
However, the choice is entirely up to you and your preferences – of course there are many other hotels in the area. But I have no personal experience with those.
Transport in Ecuador
To make the most of your stay and not have to worry about transportation, a private driver with a van will be available. In the afternoon on the day of the expedition the driver, will pick you up at the hotels in Quito near airport, where you will be accommodated.
Likewise, on the day of your departure, we will take you back to Quito to the places you have specified.
Travel insurance
The choice of travel insurance and the decision whether to insure or not is entirely up to you. However, taking out travel insurance is a matter of a few minutes. Most insurance companies also allow you to take out insurance online, so you don’t even have to go to a branch. When choosing a specific type of insurance, consider what activities you want to do during your stay.
The scope of coverage and possible costs of treatment etc. depend on this.
